Services for Scouting Herts

There is no legal requirement for any gas appliances powered by disposable cannisters to be tested, so the likes of Trangia's, Jet Boils, Tilley conversions or other similar portable kit; however when kit becomes troublesome and kit that is in need of repair, I am able to take certain items away for refurbishment.
There is a legal requirement for all cylinder supplied kit to be tested annually by an approved person. Hoses and regulators should also be checked.
Orange and black high pressure hoses should be inspected annually. High pressure hoses will have a manufactured or expiry date and should be replaced every 5 years. Ideally all orange hoses should be replaced with overbraided hose where possible to reduce risk.
Scouting services are charged effectively at cost with a heavily discounted hourly rate. Scouting rate is available for the kit used by Scouts and their sections.
